About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair and modification services for circuit card assemblies under National Stock Number (NSN) 7H-5998-016577687. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, though all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond. The procurement is for electrical and electronic assemblies, boards, cards, and associated hardware classified under PSC 5998. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in this notice, interested parties should note that the Government does not own the data or rights to the data needed to purchase or contract repair from additional sources, and it has been determined uneconomical to reverse engineer the part or acquire such data rights. The due date for this pre-solicitation is October 27, 2025, and all responsible sources have 45 days from the notice date to respond (or 30 days if award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement).
This contract action carries no set-aside designation and requires delivery of 12 units on a Freight on Board (FOB) Origin basis. No incumbent contractor or current supplier information is identified in this notice, nor is a specific award value or budget range provided. The lack of available technical data—including patterns, drawings, deviation lists, and purchase descriptions—is a significant constraint, as these documents are not stocked at the DoD Single Stock Point and must be obtained separately through ASSIST-Online or by contacting the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk. Prospective contractors should be prepared to work with limited technical documentation and should familiarize themselves with applicable Military and Federal Specifications and Standards through the resources outlined in the notice.
