About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is soliciting air purification systems for eight enlisted and officer dormitory buildings at Columbus Air Force Base. The required units must utilize Active Air Infusion technology to eliminate and kill mold, fungus, viruses, bacteria, and germs on surfaces and in the air, with each unit dedicated to a single living space and capable of covering up to 500 square feet. Each air purification system must permanently attach to a standard 3-prong 110-120v electrical wall receptacle with a maximum power draw of 10 amps, and units with separate filters are preferred over filterless options. The government will evaluate proposals based on pricing and technical acceptability, with award going to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government. The solicitation was posted on February 5, 2026, with a proposal due date of February 20, 2026, and all units must be delivered to the 14 Civil Engineering Squadron warehouse located at 555 Simler Boulevard, Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi.
This is a Total Small Business set-aside contract, restricting competition to small business entities as defined by the Small Business Administration. The solicitation incorporates numerous mandatory clauses including NIST SP 800-171 compliance for safeguarding covered defense information, Service Contract Labor Standards compliance, prohibitions on covered telecommunications equipment, and various equal opportunity and anti-discrimination provisions. No incumbent contractor is identified in the available documentation. The specific quantity of units required and the total contract award value are not explicitly stated in the provided solicitation materials, though the requirement encompasses eight dormitory buildings with individual unit installations. Performance will occur at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, with all equipment delivery consolidated to the 14 CES warehouse rather than distributed directly to individual buildings.
