The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command seeks to replace an 80-ton chiller at Building B222, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. The contractor will remove the existing chiller and install a new 80-ton Trane CGAM chiller, replacing associated chilled water piping. The firm fixed price contract must be completed within 120 calendar days of award. Questions are due by November 16th and proposals by November 29th, with anticipated award on December 6th.

DESCRIPTION: The 17th Contracting Squadron at Goodfellow AFB, TX, is issuing a solicitation for Chiller Replacement at Building 222. The project consists of the Contractor removing one 80-Ton Chiller and installing a new 80-ton Air Cooled Trane CGAM Chiller, which includes replacing the chilled water piping.
*This is a brand name acquisition for a Trane Chiller; see Attachment 6 for J&A. Trane is a critical piece of equipment standardization that supports Goodfellow AFB.
TYPE OF CONTRACT AND NAICS: This RFQ will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract and will be made to the responsible Offeror whose quote conforms to the solicitation requirements and is the most advantageous to the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 – Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and the small business size standard is no greater than $19 Million.
TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: This acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside.
DISCUSSIONS: The Government intends to make award without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to hold discussions if it is in the Government's best interest to do so.
REGISTRATIONS: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for a Government contract award. If, at the time of award, an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror. It is the Contractor's responsibility to monitor the SAM.gov website for information, updates, and amendments regarding the solicitation.

- Quotes are due by 2:00 PM CST on 29 Nov 2023.
The anticipated date of award is 6 Dec 2023.
Completion Performance: 120 Calendar Days after Date of Award.
Notice to Contractor(s): Funds are available for this procurement. Additionally, the Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation before or after the specified closing date. The Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
The purpose of this notice is to meet the FAR 5.201 requirements.
