About this opportunity

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), a component of the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health, is seeking small business sources to provide chemistry support services for its Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) research programs. The contract will require the successful contractor to perform a range of chemistry-related tasks, including logistics and handling, characterization, formulation, biosample analysis, animal studies, special studies, omics, in vitro assays, and medium to high throughput screening. The contractor must comply with FDA Good Laboratory Practices, AAALAC accreditation, and various program management, quality assurance, health and safety, and animal care requirements. The government anticipates issuing a formal solicitation in the near future.

The contract will be awarded as a small business set-aside, with a 10-year base period and a 6-month option period. There are currently three incumbent contractors performing this work under cost-plus-fixed-fee R&D contracts. The government has not disclosed a specific award value or budget range, but the long duration and scope of the required services indicate it is likely a high-value procurement opportunity. Interested small businesses are required to submit company information and details on their relevant capabilities by November 22, 2024.
