The Chattahoochee National Forest has a need for a contractor to perform an on-the-ground assessment of the existing OHV trails within the Whissenhunt OHV Trail System.
The Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials to perform all operations necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the Solicitation.
The project goals and objectives are summarized in the following four action items:

(2) CLASSIFY -- For each Whissenhunt trail or trail segment, review the USFS Trail Fundamentals: Trail Type, Trail Class, Managed Use, Designed Use, and Design Parameters. Classify/Reclassify each trail fundamental based on inventory findings.

(4) PLAN -- Develop a comprehensive Trails Management Plan for the Whissenhunt ATV Trail System to provide a summary of findings and recommendations for future management that could be implemented. The plan should include a sustainable trail layout plan, re-route alternatives, new trail loop connectors, and trail user recreational experience. The plan should provide digital map data, GPS coordinates, and a centerline profile of all recommendations that has been ground-truthed and could be implemented readily.
Project Location: The project is located approximately 4 miles north of Dahlonega, Georgia. Take Hwy. 19 north for 1 mile turn left on Road #187, also known as Wahsega Road. Travel approximately 4 miles, the recreation site will be on the left.
