About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Hood (MICC Fort Hood) is seeking a service contract for a Chaplain-led Leader's and Family teambuilding event for the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (1ABCT). The contract requires a comprehensive event package including 35 guest rooms, event space, childcare services, meal provisions, and parking for 95 total attendees from February 7-9, 2025. The event venue must be located 100-140 miles from Fort Bliss and include a breakout room with audio-visual equipment capable of accommodating 80 people, along with a separate childcare room for 25 children aged 0-12. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, the contract emphasizes the need for a full-service solution that can support both professional development and family engagement. The proposal response is due by January 23, 2025, with a 14-day advance notice required for any potential schedule modifications.
The contract is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, targeting small business contractors within the Hotels and Motels NAICS category (721110). The Firm-Fixed Price contract will cover two nights of lodging, five meals (two breakfasts, one lunch, two dinners), parking for 70 vehicles, and comprehensive event support services. Specific requirements include providing certified childcare professionals, meal services with defined menu specifications, and all necessary equipment such as tables, chairs, podium, microphone, and projection screen. The event space must be configured to support group sessions without visual obstructions and include beverage service during scheduled sessions. While exact award value is not specified, the comprehensive nature of the requirements suggests a moderately complex and potentially significant contract opportunity for qualified small business vendors specializing in event and hospitality services.
