About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded delivery order N0001925F0193 to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001923G0002 for CH-53K Main Rotor Head Organic Repair Capability. The contract, valued at $64,881,720, was awarded on January 24, 2025 on a sole-source basis using 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 provisions. NAVAIR justified the sole-source award because Sikorsky is the exclusive designer, developer, and manufacturer of the CH-53K airframe, with unique technical knowledge and data rights that make them the only contractor capable of meeting the government's requirements. The contract covers technical and logistics support, program management, engineering services, and repair capabilities for the CH-53K helicopter program, with the current agreement valid through September 30, 2025. Market research confirmed Sikorsky as the sole viable source to meet the Marine Corps' heavy lift helicopter requirements within the specified timeframe.
