About this opportunity
The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting sources for dockside repair services on the USCGC ANVIL (WLIC 75301), a 75-foot Inland Construction Tender, and a USCG 68A Barge. The scope of work encompasses comprehensive maintenance and repair tasks including fire prevention systems, tank cleaning and inspection, diesel engine exhaust piping cleaning, compressed air system servicing, hull fitting inspection and testing, sewage and grey water system maintenance, and various barge-specific repairs such as spud well inspection and crossdeck winch servicing. The Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Coast Guard is the procuring agency, and the work will be performed at the homeport located at 196 Tradd Street, Charleston, South Carolina 29401. The anticipated period of performance runs from April 21, 2026, through June 2, 2026, subject to change. Interested contractors must submit their responses by December 19, 2025, to be considered for this opportunity. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing) and PSC category J998 (Non-Nuclear Ship Repair, East).
This pre-solicitation notice indicates no set-aside designation has been applied to the contract opportunity. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or current service providers. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase; however, the comprehensive nature of the work scope—encompassing multiple vessel systems and components requiring inspection, cleaning, repair, and certification—suggests a substantial contract value. The project is limited to two vessels (one tender and one barge) with a defined 43-day performance window, providing clear parameters for contractor planning and resource allocation. Interested parties should note that all work scope items are subject to potential modification prior to formal solicitation release.
