About this opportunity

The California Army National Guard Counterdrug Task Force (CDTF) is procuring two Tiger Tug 12.0 aircraft towing systems through solicitation W912LA25QA023. These electric-powered tow vehicles are designed specifically for aircraft with a maximum gross weight of 12,000 pounds and feature unique capabilities including wireless remote control, zero-emission operation, low-profile design with 3-inch ground clearance, and a patented Heli-Saddle support system. The procurement requires delivery within 60 days after contract award and includes an extended 12-month warranty beyond the standard coverage. The government will evaluate offers based on technical compliance, specifically requiring the brand name Tiger Tug product with delivery capability within the 60-day timeframe, as well as pricing considerations. Quotations must be submitted electronically by September 19, 2025, at 5:00 PM PST, and offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) with past performance assessed through systems like SPRS and CPARS.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 333924 (Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer, and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing) with a size standard of 900 employees. The solicitation documents indicate that Tiger Tug Acquisitions LLC and four other companies have been identified as potential sources during market research, though this appears to be structured as a brand name or sole-source acquisition given the specialized nature of the equipment. While specific contract values are not disclosed in the available documentation, the procurement involves purchasing exactly two Tiger Tug units with optional features including GPU systems and snow chains available. The equipment will be delivered to the Counterdrug Task Force - Team Eagle (TEA) location at Crown Air FBO in San Diego, California, with delivery restricted to Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, excluding federal holidays. The specialized nature of this equipment supports the CDTF's mission requirements for discrete aircraft movement in secure and confined operational environments.
