About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a semiconductor part with National Stock Number 7H-5998-016195885, specifically 8 units with Technical Data Package Version 004. The procurement will be executed under FAR 6.302-1, which allows negotiation with a single source. The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, thereby limiting competitive sourcing. Companies can express interest through the NAVSUP Business Opportunities web portal, though current non-approved sources will not delay the award process.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this procurement, and the delivery will be FOB Origin. While no specific award value is mentioned, the government will evaluate responses solely to determine potential competitive procurement approaches. The procurement timeline spans from the October 11, 2024 posting date to the February 12, 2025 due date. Potential vendors can access relevant documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, with most documents available in Adobe PDF format via ASSIST-Online. Interested parties without internet access can contact the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk by phone or mail to request additional information about the semiconductor component procurement.
