About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a specific electrical component identified by National Stock Number 1H-6150-016859734-WN, with a quantity of 1 unit to be delivered FOB Origin. The pre-solicitation notice indicates that the government possesses complete technical data rights with no manufacturing or engineering restrictions. Based on current market research, the procurement will not utilize FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition, though interested vendors may identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item within 10 days of the notice. Interested parties can obtain relevant military specifications, standards, and product lists through the DoD Single Stock Point at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, PA. Documentation can be accessed through ASSIST-Online or requested via their help desk contact information.

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, suggesting exclusive competition among small business entities. While no specific award value is detailed in the notice, the contract involves a single electrical power and distribution equipment item categorized under PSC Code 6150. Vendors interested in participating must carefully review the technical data package and be prepared to meet the government's specific requirements. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on July 28, 2024, with a response deadline of April 4, 2025, providing potential bidders with substantial time to prepare comprehensive proposals. Potential contractors should note the government's openness to multiple acquisition methods, as indicated by the A/RMSC classification that implies potential for full and open competition.
