About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command's 30th Contracting Squadron is conducting market research for chapel music services to support Vandenberg Space Force Base mission through this Request for Information (RFI). The procurement seeks contractors to provide four specific positions: Catholic Music Director, Protestant Music Director, Catholic Musician, and Protestant Musician to support worship services and chapel ministry activities. Key qualifications include being at least 18 years old, possessing a high school diploma (bachelor's degree in music preferred), clear English communication skills, and a minimum of two years of church music experience. Additional requirements include FBI background checks and qualification as Line-of-Sight Supervisors for programs involving minors. This is strictly an information-gathering notice with responses due by June 27, 2025, and interested vendors must email their firm details including CAGE code and small business status to the specified government contacts.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 711130 (Musical Groups and Artists) with a size standard of $15,000,000. The government requires at least two qualified small businesses to demonstrate their capabilities in accordance with the Limitations on Subcontracting clause (FAR 52.219-14) to proceed with a small business set-aside determination. While the attached Performance Work Statement references a contract period from July 7, 2021, through July 6, 2022, this appears to be from a previous contract cycle, and no specific contract value or duration is provided for the current market research effort. The procurement will involve monthly invoicing through Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) with Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) payments. No incumbent contractors are identified in the notice, and the government emphasizes this is solely for market research purposes with no commitment to issue a future solicitation.
