About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to issue a sole source award to CALLYO 2009 CORP of Carson City, Nevada. This notice is for the procurement of Callyo user licenses and video licenses valued at $34,821.00 for a performance period from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026. The acquisition will be conducted under FAR 13.106-3(b) for open market purchase orders and is set aside for total small business participation. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334290 (Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing) and involves supplies and services for investigative technology needs. All communications regarding this posting must be submitted in writing to the designated point of contact, Donita Hood, by the archive date of August 20, 2025 at 1:00 pm EST.

The purpose of this sole source procurement is to acquire specialized investigative technology services that only Callyo can provide to meet the DEA's operational requirements. The DEA's market research determined that Callyo is the only vendor capable of delivering the required software-based system that allows flexible, secure line recording for law enforcement without additional hardware requirements. Contractors interested in this opportunity must comply with stringent requirements including System for Award Management registration, unique entity identifier reporting, cybersecurity protocols, and personnel security investigations. The notice emphasizes that this is not a request for competitive quotations, as the acquisition is justified under FAR 6.302-1 due to Callyo's unique capabilities and proprietary services restricted to law enforcement use. The government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order, and any determination not to open the requirement to competition remains solely within the government's discretion.
