About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has published a Special Notice for a "Call for Interest: Tech Connect" opportunity. The purpose of this notice is to invite vendors to submit solutions in three areas of interest: zero-volt tolerant fast charging battery, low temperature rechargeable batteries, and supply chain resilience innovations for energy storage.

The government will evaluate the submitted solutions, down-select, and invite the selected respondents to present their solutions at the Defense TechConnect Innovation Summit & Expo in December 2024. The presenters will be notified by a specific date, and will be required to join the Expeditionary Missions Consortium (EMC2) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) in order to expedite potential awards following the pitch competition. Membership in EMC2 is free, and interested parties should visit the EMC2 website for more information. The government is seeking cutting-edge, dual-use energy storage technologies that address critical national challenges and alleviate current and future supply chain risks in military batteries.
