About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command (AETC) is seeking a contractor to provide incentive orientation flights for Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) cadets at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. The solicitation, identified as Cadets in Jets (JET-I IV), will be issued on March 5, 2025, through the System for Award Management (SAM) website. The contract requires a qualified vendor to supply high-performance turboprop aircraft similar to T-6A Texan II trainers, with instructor pilots possessing specific flight experience requirements. The contractor must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage of $1 million per aircraft/occurrence and provide all necessary aircraft maintenance, fuel, equipment, and administrative support. The 42nd Contracting Squadron, 50 LeMay Plaza South, Bldg 804, Maxwell AFB, AL 36112 will issue a solicitation for the services listed in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611512 and the small business size standard is $34M. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside and made available on the System for Award Management (SAM) website at http://www.sam.gov, on or about 05 Mar 2025. Paper copies will not be available. Award of this contract will be made utilizing competitive best value source selection procedures. A single award Firm-Fixed Price type contract will be awarded. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
