About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior National Park Service Northeast Region is seeking quotes from small businesses for a firm-fixed price contract to perform maintenance on the Pierson House at the Cape Cod National Seashore in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. The work consists of providing new vinyl plank flooring, cleaning and painting interior walls and ceilings, removing and replacing the bathroom #2 shower, creating a new wall with a vented door for the furnace room, and replacing the main entrance and utility room doors. Quotes are due by June 20, 2024, and the performance period is 90 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Award will be based on price, technical, and prior experience.
This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside contract with NAICS code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The magnitude of the construction effort is between $100,000 and $250,000. A site visit is scheduled for June 11, 2024. Bid guarantee and performance and payment bonds are required. The period of performance is from August 9, 2024 to November 11, 2024.

CACO - MAINTENANCE PIERSON HOUSE - Work will consist of providing new 22 mil vinyl plank flooring. Rooms that are scheduled to receive new floors are shown on the contract drawings; 2. Clean, patch, spot prime and paint interior walls and ceilings. Existing unpainted pine paneling do not receive paint; 3.At bathroom #2, disconnect plumbing, remove plumbing, cap plumbing (behind wall) and remove prefabricated shower enclosure; 4. Where shower is removed, patch the adjoining walls and floor; 5. At bathroom #2, provide two (2) coats of oil based polyurethane with Satin finish to the existing pine paneling; 6 At furnace room, provide new wall with vented door to separate the furnace room from the means of egress; 7. Relocate existing furnace room ceiling light to allow new wall installation; 8. Remove existing trim, existing entry door and frame at main entrance and utility room; and 9. Provide two new 32 inch x 76 inch, two lite, pre-hung, steel entry doors.
