About this opportunity
The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA), a civilian federal agency, has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to sole source a Purchase Order for Cable Television and Internet Cable Modem Services. The notice specifically targets the installation of High Definition Cable Television services and Internet Modem services across seven CSOSA office locations. CSOSA plans to award the contract to Comcast Government Services, LLC, located in Reston, VA, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which allows sole sourcing when only one source is reasonably available. The procurement is classified under the Wired Telecommunications Carriers NAICS category (517111) and involves IT and Telecom service delivery support services. The Special Notice was posted on February 24, 2025, with a response deadline of March 11, 2025.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to inform potential contractors about CSOSA's intention to award a firm-fixed-price Purchase Order to Comcast Government Services without competitive bidding. The contract will cover a one-year performance period from March 27, 2025, through March 26, 2026. Contractors are explicitly advised that this is an informational notice and not a request for competitive quotations, with no solicitation to be made available. Interested parties may send information responses to Colin Lee at Colin.Lee@csosa.gov, though the government retains sole discretion on whether to compete the action. The notice strongly discourages telephonic questions or requests and emphasizes that the procurement will follow a sole source methodology. Potential contractors should note that this opportunity is not set aside for any specific group and is focused solely on providing cable and internet services for CSOSA's seven office locations.
