About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring 4 cable assemblies through NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound. The specific requirement is for 400Hz servicing cables manufactured by Controlled Systems Sales Company (part number 960-5522-53), featuring 53-foot length, 260 amps amperage, single jacket with molded heads, standard non-thermal female nose plugs, and standard jumped ends with connectors at both ends. Offerors must specify the manufacturer, country of origin, estimated delivery time after receipt of order, and confirm shipment capability to the specified destination in Japan rather than Bremerton, Washington. The government will award a firm, fixed-price contract under FAR Parts 12 and 13, evaluating offers based on technical factors including delivery date, price, and past performance. The solicitation closes on August 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, with all proposals due by this deadline.

This procurement is designated as a 100% Small Business Set Aside, restricting participation to qualified small business entities. The contract specifies delivery to a government receiving warehouse in Yokosuka, Japan, with performance required on or before December 1, 2025, though the primary destination mentioned in the notice is Sasebo, Japan. NAVSUP WSS Transportation will coordinate shipping at no cost to the contractor, though any additional fees such as tariffs, duties, taxes, and customs must be included in the line item pricing. The solicitation specifically prohibits shipment to Bremerton, Washington, emphasizing that the final destination is Japan. Contractors are responsible for downloading solicitation documents from SAM.gov and monitoring for amendments, with the government not liable for any access issues to posted documents.
