About this opportunity
The Air Mobility Command's 87th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to solicit Business Cable Internet and Ethernet Services, with capability statements due August 14, 2026. The Air Force is considering single-source award to the incumbent provider, Comcast of Garden State L.P., based on existing cable television infrastructure throughout the base; market research concluded that only Comcast is available as a responsible source at this time, and replacement by any alternative provider would require substantial re-cabling of each facility, rendering replacement technically infeasible and economically inefficient. The government retains sole discretion to determine whether to conduct competitive procurement or proceed with single-source award based on responses received.
Scope encompasses CATV, internet, and ethernet access infrastructure on the USAFEC campus, including digital cable adapters, modems, routers, and wireless access points. The contractor must provide the best possible technical performance consistent with sound engineering and commercial practices. Interested parties must submit capability statements not exceeding five pages (8.5 x 11 inches) using 10-point minimum font, including technical data and cost information. Submissions must be sent as Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachments by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time to Jeramiah.Birdsong.2@us.af.mil, Sarah.Brown.53@us.af.mil, or lizbette.zalybniuk.1@us.af.mil. No set-aside applies. NAICS 517111 (Wired Telecommunications Carriers); PSC 5820 (Radio and Television Communication Equipment, Except Airborne).
