About this opportunity
The Military Sealift Command (MSC) and Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka, operating under the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command, have announced the Busan Industry Day 2026 as a Special Notice. This event will take place on February 10-11, 2026, at the Westin Josun Busan Hotel in South Korea and is designed to facilitate dialogue between government ship repair officials and industry contractors. The Special Notice targets companies within the ship building and repairing sector (NAICS 336611) and welcomes both existing ship repair partners and new contractors interested in working with the U.S. Navy. No specific set-asides have been designated for this opportunity, meaning all eligible contractors may participate equally.
The primary objective of this Industry Day is to educate ship repair contractors on MSC technical requirements for solicitation proposals and to help them achieve technical acceptability on their initial submissions. Interested contractors must RSVP by 2:00 PM Singapore Time on January 29, 2026, to either Larissa Ortmann or Keiko D'Agostino, indicating the number of attendees from their company and whether they wish to schedule a private session. The event schedule includes group presentations on February 10th from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM covering MSC ship repair requirements, business processes, and outyear repair schedules, followed by individual contractor sessions from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. February 11th will be dedicated entirely to individual sessions running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with each session lasting 30-45 minutes. There are no stated eligibility restrictions beyond operating in the ship repair industry, making this opportunity available to all qualified contractors.
Notice text
Military Sealift Command and Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka will be holding Ship Repair Industry Days on 10-11 February 2026 at the Westin Josun Busan Hotel.
As in previous years, MSC and FLC will provide presentations on our ship repair requirements in the Western Pacific, including information on our ships, types of repair requirements, how to do business with the US Government, and our outyear repair schedules. The focus of this year’s Industry Day is to help our ship repair partners understand the MSC technical requirements that must be addressed in a solicitation proposal, and how to achieve technical acceptability in your first submittal.
We encourage our existing ship repair partners and interested newcomers to attend this Industry Day. We will have individual sessions in the afternoon of 10 February 2026 and all day 11 February 2026 with interested contractors to discuss questions, comments and issues you might have. Sessions will be 30-45 minutes in length.
We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Industry Day. Please RSVP to Larissa Ortmann at Larissa.a.ortmann.civ@us.navy.mil and Keiko D’Agostino at keiko.dagostino.civ@us.navy.mil at by 2:00 PM (Singapore Time) 29 January 2026. Please indicate the number of attendees from your company, and whether you would like to schedule a private session with our team.
