About this opportunity
The Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is seeking electrical, lighting, and fan upgrade services for Building 642 at their National Academy in Glynco, Georgia. The project involves replacing existing light fixtures with LED Round High Bay fixtures that feature selectable color temperature (3000-6500K) and adjustable lumens (23,839-39,295), installing individual lighting switches, adding safety lights at pedestrian doors, and installing a large industrial ceiling fan near the building's center. Contractors must pass background checks, have no disqualifying criminal convictions, follow national and local electric codes, provide a project manager or on-site supervisor, and be willing to undergo random drug testing. All questions regarding this Request for Quote must be submitted in writing via email to Brandon Hodnett at Brandon.Hodnett@atf.gov by 12:00 PM EST on September 15, 2025. Quotes are due by 3:00 PM EST on September 16, 2025, and must reference solicitation number 15A00025Q00000115.
This procurement is designated as a 100% total small business set-aside under NAICS code 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) with a size standard of $19,000,000. The contract is structured as a firm fixed-price procurement with net 30 payment terms and a performance period from September 26, 2025 to March 25, 2026. The work will be performed at Building 642 (referred to as "the BARN") at the ATF National Academy located in Brunswick, Georgia 31524. The upgrade is necessary to improve safety and training conditions for Special Agent Basic Training (SABT), as current lighting is inadequate and creates dark spots that pose safety risks. Contractors must coordinate scheduling with the ATF National Academy Point of Contact and obtain facility access through a visitor access request form submitted at least 30 days prior to the planned work date.
