About this opportunity

The USDA Forest Service is soliciting proposals for the Brown/Booths/Staker Horseshoe Pit Crushing project located on the Manti-La Sal National Forest in Sanpete County, Utah. The scope of work includes minor pit development, crushing 16,000 cubic yards of aggregate to 2.5 inches or less with an option to crush an additional 10,000 cubic yards to 1.5 inches or less. Proposals will be evaluated based on price. The pre-proposal conference will be held on July 20, 2023 and proposals are due by July 31, 2023.

The set-aside is for total small business. The work includes crushing aggregate with an estimated value between $250,000 and $500,000 to be performed over 60 calendar days beginning on or around July 31, 2023 in Ephraim, Utah. The NAICS code is 212312 and PSC code is 8112 with aggregate to be stockpiled at the project site on the Horseshoe Flat Pit located within the Manti-La Sal National Forest.

AMENDMENT 0001 - JULY 10TH, 2023 - THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO CHANGE THE SITE VISIT DATE FROM JULY 12TH TO JULY 20TH AT 10 AM (LOCAL TIME) DUE TO THE NEED TO CLEAR ACCESS TO THE SITE. THE OFFER DUE DATE IS EXTENDED UNTIL JULY 31ST, 2023 AT 1700 (MT). NO OTHER CHANGES.

NOTE: The period of performance dates should be taken with a grain of salt as this will need to be adjusted based on when the Notice to Proceed is issued.

Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Brown/Booths/Staker Horseshoe Pit Crushing Project located on the Manti-La Sal National Forest in Sanpete County, Utah. Work shall consist of but is not limited to minor pit development, crushing pit run aggregate crushing and placing it in a stockpile within the site.

Work is estimated to begin on or about July 31st, 2023 subject to contractor availability. Contract time for this project is 90 calendar days.

In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project, with options, is between $250,000 and $500,000.
