This project is a service contract to bring three (3) portable generators up to code. The three Cummins QSL9-G2, NR3 generators have 353 gallon single-walled tanks. Each generator currently has two (2) 7000# axles and a 353 gallon single-walled belly tank mounted underneath the bed. Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing single-walled belly tank and add a double-walled sub base tank. The new tank shall have a dry contact for low level alarm and a dry contact for a leak detection alarm system. The upgraded trailer weight distribution shall be assessed and placement of extra axles will be performed by the contractor. Painting of modified parts of trailer will be required as necessary. The contractor will transport theses generators individually from LAAFB to contractor's facility to perform work and all other necessary work to bring up to code and deliver back to LAAFB once completed. 40 CFR 112.8 requires that mobile or portable storage tanks be positioned or located to prevent a spill from reaching Waters of the United States. Secondary means of containment must be provided for the entire capacity of the mobile or portable storage tank.
