About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the Brimstone Software Enhancement Capability, seeking to identify potential sources for enhancing the Brimstone Software Suite used on the AC-130J aircraft. The procurement involves developing or enhancing software and providing hardware support for all systems that interact directly or indirectly with Brimstone Software on the AC-130J platform. Qualified contractors must possess repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to provide comprehensive software enhancements, along with the ability to furnish all necessary materials, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services. Contractors will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating all support equipment at their facilities or subcontractor facilities, with any replacement materials or parts required to equal or exceed Original Equipment Manufacturer quality standards. The RFI response deadline is July 20, 2025, and interested parties should contact Procurement Contracting Officer Donna Casey or Contract Specialist Teisha Brown for additional information.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. No potential incumbents or current contractors are identified in the notice, nor are any award values, budget ranges, or specific quantities mentioned. The RFI emphasizes that this is solely for market research and planning purposes, with no guarantee that a formal solicitation will be issued, and the government will not pay for response preparation expenses or the information submitted. The notice clarifies that responses will be treated as information only and not as formal proposals, as the government seeks to overcome barriers to competition through this information-gathering effort. No specific timeline for services or delivery schedules are provided beyond the requirement for contractors to maintain ongoing support capabilities at their facilities.
