About this opportunity
The Drug Enforcement Administration issued a notice of intent on July 2, 2026 to award a sole source firm fixed purchase order to Xerox Corp for a Proficio 300 Press (PN: PX300) and associated supplies and services supporting the Office of Training's in-house material production. The acquisition is restricted to a single source under 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) based on a determination that only Xerox's specified equipment meets the Government's operational requirements.
The equipment will support the Office of Training in printing high-volume, on-demand materials for mandatory training classes delivered to Defense Intelligence Agency students and in-service personnel. The Proficio 300 Press must deliver high-volume production capacity exceeding 600,000 pages with integrated quality finishing features including a booklet maker, folder trimmer, hole punch, feeder, and crease and trim functions, along with real-time density adjustment and color registration without production slowdown. Market research confirmed no alternative vendors offer mid-range production copiers meeting the Academy's needs cost-effectively.
Capability statements from any interested source are due by July 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. EST and should be submitted electronically to Robert Radke at robert.j.radke@dea.gov. The Government will consider responses solely to determine whether to conduct competitive procurement; submission does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Xerox will accept two end-of-life machines (Versant 180 and D136) as trade-ins. NAICS 811310; PSC 7430.
