About this opportunity
The U.S. Geological Survey is procuring a Mettler Excellence T5 Titrator and accompanying service agreement through Request for Quotation 140G0225Q0139. The procurement is for one titrator unit that must be compatible with existing LabX software, support up to 4 burettes, perform multiple titration types, and include advanced analytical functions with password protection and network/USB export capabilities. The requirement includes professional installation, functional testing, up to two hours of instrument familiarization, and a two-year service agreement with one annual performance maintenance service. Award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offeror, with vendors required to provide technical brochures demonstrating equipment specifications and quote authentic, manufacturer-certified products in original packaging. All quotes must be submitted electronically to kkeuma@usgs.gov by September 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM EST.
The solicitation was initially designated as a Total Small Business set-aside but was subsequently amended to remove this designation, making it open to all vendors under NAICS code 334516 for Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the solicitation materials. While specific budget ranges or award values are not disclosed, the procurement represents a single-unit acquisition with delivery required by October 6, 2025. The equipment will be delivered and installed at the USGS Kansas Water Science Center's Organic Geochemistry Research Laboratory in Lawrence, Kansas, where it will support ongoing analytical operations. The contract includes both the initial equipment delivery and a structured service agreement spanning two years from installation.
