About this opportunity
Air Mobility Command intends to procure one new automatic bowling lane maintenance machine for MacDill Air Force Base and anticipates award on 30 September 2026; this acquisition is set aside as a Total Small Business Set-Aside and will not be posted to the Government Point of Entry.
The requirement is to replace an existing obsolete unit at MacDill AFB Lanes, 8216 Hangar Loop Drive, MacDill AFB, Florida 33621. The Statement of Need, dated 25 February 2026, projects annual revenue loss of $35,000 due to lane closures and identifies the current machine's unreliability as a direct operational threat.
The machine must be rechargeable and battery-powered for untethered operation, feature an intuitive graphical user interface with a color touchscreen of at least 3.5 inches, include an automated self-mixing system for lane cleaner and conditioner, and utilize a patented sprayless application system to prevent overspray into gutters. Required functionality includes "walker" capability providing automatic lane-to-lane movement with auto-aligning guides, a robust wheeled chassis for maneuverability, and internal memory capacity to store a minimum of 15 unique lane conditioning patterns.
The vendor must provide comprehensive on-site operator and maintenance training upon delivery, no-cost 24/7 technical support for the life of the machine, and a minimum 12-month warranty covering all parts and labor. Delivery and acceptance occur at MacDill AFB Lanes, Monday through Friday between 0900–1800 EST excluding Federal holidays, and the vendor's representative must unpackage, assemble, and conduct full functional demonstration on-site.
Air Mobility Command will request quotes directly from at least three sources and award to the offeror providing best value. Funds are not currently available; no award will be made until funding is secured. Contact Contracting Officer David Lovett at david.lovett@us.af.mil or Contracting Specialist Jill Warye at jill.warye@us.af.mil, 2610 Pink Flamingo Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33621.
