About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring aircraft hydraulic, vacuum, and de-icing system components, specifically boots for aircraft components under National Stock Number 1R-1650-017311915-P8. The item is classified as flight-critical, and the Government requires source approval prior to contract award due to the unavailability of adequate technical data to support full and open competition. Prospective contractors must either be pre-approved sources or submit comprehensive source approval information detailed in the applicable NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support brochures for either spares or repair, depending on the nature of their offering. Evaluation will be based on the completeness and adequacy of submitted technical data and evidence of prior approval or documented submission of approval requirements. The proposal due date is December 29, 2025, with the solicitation having been posted on September 16, 2025.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and involves the acquisition of 14 units with delivery on a Free on Board Origin basis. No specific award value or budget range is provided in the pre-solicitation notice. Only previously Government-approved sources have been solicited for this requirement, reflecting the flight-critical nature of the component and the time constraints associated with obtaining new source approvals. Offerors who fail to provide all required technical data or documentation of prior source approval submission will not be considered for award. The Government acknowledges that if source approval evaluation cannot be completed in time to meet procurement timelines, alternative acquisition strategies may be pursued.
