About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center seeks quotations for one marine steam boiler (NSN 4410-01-230-8024) configured per specification, with quotes due July 24, 2026. The procurement is set aside for Total Small Business.

The boiler must be oil-fired, fully automatic, marine welded construction rated at 535 pounds per hour, capable of 30 PSI maximum hot water pressure or 15 PSI maximum steam pressure. Fire rate is 8.00 GPH maximum, 4.00 GPH normal, with BTU output of 840,000 maximum and approximately 420,000 normal. The unit must incorporate the McDonnell Miller M93 float switch and Warrick 3C2A6-25 low water probe, be configured in accordance with Way-Wolff drawing H-581, and include Honeywell C7915A flame detector and C7848A amplifier. The boiler must be compatible with existing bulkhead-mounted electrical controller per drawing 618WMEC517-001. Manufacturer is specified as Ty Sa Man Machine Co, part number 024 79230 5848-14E. Quantity is two units.

Delivery is F.O.B. destination to Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center. Packaging and marking must comply strictly with MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129R, including Code 39 bar coding with Human Readable Interpretation on both unit and unitized packs. Standard commercial packaging is unacceptable and will result in quote rejection. All items must be individually packaged in accordance with Coast Guard Preservation, Packaging & Marking specification (ASTM-D-3951 standards). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, FAC 2026-01 (Mar 13, 2026) and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 333414 and the business size standard is 500. The resultant purchase order will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.106. 

The U.S. Coast Guard intends to award on an all or none basis to a responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government. The award will be made based on the lowest price technically acceptable.  The Coast Guard intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract.
 

All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the Agency. Companies must have valid DUNS numbers and be registered with SYSTEMS FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (www.sam.gov) and shall provide the company Tax Information Number with their offer.  The closing date and time for receipt of quote is July 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time
