About this opportunity
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) intends to award a sole-source contract to Biomark, LLC for PIT telemetry equipment supporting the Euclid Creek fish passage evaluation, and vendor responses are due by 09:00 AM Eastern on Friday, November 6, 2026. No set-aside is used. USGS will make the award to Biomark unless a vendor contacts the Contract Specialist, Patrick Anderson, at patrick_anderson@usgs.gov by that deadline to affirm it has a similar product that meets the requirement.
The anticipated period of performance runs from 11/06/2026 through 12/06/2026. The requirement covers two Litz cord antenna setups (Biomark quote SQ35126), IS1001 Master Controller-based equipment (quote SQ35142, with a final revised antenna and controller configuration), and one IS1001 MUX setup (quote SQ35125). It also includes IS1001 controllers and nodes, HDPE and Litz cord antennas, CANbus and exciter cabling, solar/battery power systems, mounting and anchor hardware, remote communication equipment, and access to Biomark data-management tools.
USGS justifies the single-source approach on compatibility with existing USGS-CERC infrastructure. The notice states that alternative manufacturers' systems lack direct compatibility and would require duplicative equipment, spare parts, software workflows, and staff training, which would increase costs and risk project delays.
