About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is seeking to award a single labor-hour contract for Beluga Whale Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Escort services. The contractor will be required to provide professional services, material, and labor for the escort, surface survey, and identification of munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) for Endangered Species Act (ESA) projects on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) land, some of which may be highly vegetated or water-based up to 18 inches deep. Relevant past performance and price will be evaluated, with an acceptable past performance record potentially being more advantageous than a neutral rating. Quotes are due by 12PM AKDT on September 9, 2024, and the first escort excursion is scheduled for September 2024.
This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside contract under NAICS code 562910 - Remediation Services. There is no incumbent contractor currently providing these services, as the requirement was previously handled by military personnel. The contract will have a period of performance of up to 24 months, with 560 hours allocated to the first 12 months and 160 hours to the remaining 4 months. The place of performance is Anchorage, Alaska.
