About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is conducting a Sources Sought market research notice to identify qualified contractors capable of providing one-piece acrylic bathtub and shower surrounds for U.S. Air Force bases located in both the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). The procuring agency seeks products that meet stringent specifications including seamless one-piece wall systems manufactured in America, 100% acrylic construction with ABS backing, and custom-fit installations that prevent leaks and water damage. Key requirements include lifetime product warranties and five-year installation warranties, with precise material thickness specifications ranging from .115" to .225" depending on the component, all fabricated from single sheets of smooth acrylic without seams or joints. Interested vendors must submit capability statements limited to five pages, including a required Past Performance Questionnaire that demonstrates their qualifications and historical track record in similar work within the past ten years. The response deadline for this non-obligatory sources sought notice is November 14, 2025, with an extension recently granted from the original October date to allow additional time for qualified contractors to prepare their submissions.

This is a non-appropriated funds global supply schedule procurement with no set-aside designation, and responses are being collected strictly for market research and planning purposes with no obligation by the government to award a contract or compensate respondents. No specific award value or budget range has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, nor has an incumbent contractor been identified. The quantity of units required and the specific timeline for delivery and installation have not been detailed in the available documentation. This notice represents the preliminary phase of the procurement process designed to develop a qualified bidders list for potential future solicitation, meaning that submission of capability statements does not guarantee contract opportunities but rather positions interested contractors for consideration in subsequent formal solicitation actions. The acquisition follows the NAICS category for All Other Plastics Product Manufacturing (326199), indicating the product classification used for small business set-aside determinations and contract tracking purposes.
