About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Pittsburgh is soliciting contractors to re-pave basketball and tennis courts at Dewey Lake through comprehensive surface restoration services. The work requires contractors to provide all equipment, materials, labor, supplies, and supervision necessary to prepare existing weathered and cracked asphalt surfaces for new fine surface asphalt coating application. Key requirements include thorough cleaning of existing surfaces to remove dirt, gravel, paint, pollen, grass, and other bonding-inhibiting substances, followed by application of SS1H tack coat or equivalent before placing new asphalt. The finished surfaces must be properly leveled from side to side and end to end to prevent water pooling on the playing areas. This solicitation was posted on September 4, 2025, with responses due by September 18, 2025, and Amendment 0001 was issued on September 8, 2025, to remove requirements for sealed copies and certain FAR clauses.
