PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB), for the Barkley Dam Drainage Foundation System. The project scope will involve earthwork (cut/fill operations) to improve site drainage near the toe of the Barkley Dam embankment. Culvert installation, site grading, and stone placement as part culvert construction and erosion control will be the largest pieces of work. Site grading work will involve working near and modifying a few project instrumentation components (piezometers) and a gravel site access road in the construction work limits. The work will involve the abandonment of the existing piezometers and perform site grading procedures.
