About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture Forest Service R6-Pacific Northwest Region is issuing a Notice of Intent to place a call order against an existing Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA #1240BE22A00XX) for Baker City Watershed forestry thinning and hand piling services. The procurement seeks contractors to perform fuel management activities including thinning and hand piling operations within the greater Baker City Watershed project area in Oregon. There appears to be some discrepancy in the documentation, with one version specifying 278 base acres and 313 optional acres, while another indicates 564 base acres and 312 optional acres of work to be performed. The solicitation is classified under NAICS Code 115310 (Support Activities for Forestry - Fuels Management) with Product Service Code F014 for Natural Resources/Conservation Tree Thinning. Interested contractors must request the full solicitation by emailing the contracting contact, Andrea Pollock, with offers due on September 18, 2025, at 4:30 PM PT.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting participation to qualified small business contractors only. The call order will be placed under an existing competitive BPA that was previously awarded to multiple small businesses, indicating there are already established contractors eligible to receive task orders under this arrangement. The work will be performed in Baker City, Oregon 97814, focusing on forestry fuel management activities critical to watershed management and fire prevention. The project encompasses a substantial acreage commitment with both base and optional components, allowing the government flexibility in the scope of work actually executed. The expedited timeline from the September 11, 2025 posting date to the September 18, 2025 response deadline reflects the nature of BPA call procedures, which streamline the procurement process for pre-qualified contractors.
