About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command is seeking a contractor to provide Asset Management services for the B52-H Carriage Equipment (CE) program under a non-personal services contract. The contractor will be responsible for receiving, managing, securing, storing, tracking, and shipping approximately 60 carriage equipment assets, including SUU-72 pylons, Nuclear Store Interface Units (NSIU), Conventional Stores Rotary Launchers (CSRL), Loader Launcher Adaptors (LLA), and support equipment. The contract requires the contractor to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, and materials to fulfill the asset management mission. The assets must be stored in an environmentally controlled environment and require compliance with militarily critical technical data requirements as outlined in DD Form 2345. While specific evaluation criteria and proposal deadlines are not detailed in this pre-solicitation notice, contractors should be prepared to demonstrate capability in warehousing, asset tracking, and secure storage operations upon the issuance of the formal solicitation.

This is a 100% small business set-aside contract with a contract type that is predominantly firm fixed price. The contract structure includes a one-year base period with four optional one-year extensions, providing up to five years of potential performance. The carriage equipment assets have significant physical dimensions—with maximum measurements of 50 feet in length, 15 feet in width, and 17 feet in height—and weigh approximately 20,000 pounds each. No incumbent contractor or specific budget range is identified in this pre-solicitation notice, though contractors should note that the assets have been cleaned and prepared for refurbishment prior to storage. The NAICS classification of 493190 (Other Warehousing and Storage) and PSC code R499 (Support-Professional: Other) indicate the nature of the services being procured and may be relevant for small business certification purposes.
