About this opportunity
The United States Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research to identify potential repair sources for the B-2 Power Drive Unit Controller (PDUC, NSN 6110-01-317-2372FW) and to determine competitive viability; responses are due by October 18, 2026. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis, not a solicitation, and no contract award or funding will result from this market research.
Work is performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The repair scope encompasses disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, testing, preservation, and packaging to return unserviceable units to serviceable or like-new condition per manufacturer's original specifications. Contractors must hold a license or agreement with Original Equipment Manufacturer Safran Electronics & Defense (CAGE 167Y3), as the government does not possess technical data. Qualification Requirements (RQR-848) apply, and contractors may submit Source Approval Request packages through DoD SAFE or email.
The estimated requirement is 15 units in the basic year, with two option years of 5 units each. NAICS code 336413 applies (1,250-employee size standard). The government seeks responses from all business types: large businesses, small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) certified firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses.
Responses must include business information and eight survey questions addressing service capabilities, repair procedure development experience, similar past contracts, quality assurance processes, configuration management, inventory tracking, and approaches to managing absence of technical documentation. Submit responses to 424SCMS.GUEA.RFIResponses@us.af.mil by October 18, 2026.
