The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical Supply Chain is procuring a national requirements contract for Azithromycin Tablets with a closing date of September 3, 2026, 3:00 PM EDT. This is an unrestricted, fully competitive acquisition with no set-aside, structured as a firm-fixed-price requirements contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
The contract will supply four line items: Azithromycin 250 MG tablets in 6-count bottles (estimated 139,001 bottles annually), 250 MG tablets in 30-count bottles (estimated 124,934 bottles annually), 500 MG tablets in 3-count bottles (estimated 7,140 bottles annually), and 500 MG tablets in 30-count bottles (estimated 26,205 bottles annually). Vendors may offer bottles or blister packaging. The 30-count formulations are designated unit-of-use packages subject to Statement of Work "Preparation for Delivery" requirements.
The contract will establish a national supply source serving Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Bureau of Prisons, and Indian Health Service customers through DLA and VA prime vendor programs. Four current prime vendor contractors—AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health, DMS Pharmaceutical Group, and McKesson—will distribute contracted products.
This is a commercial item acquisition under FAR Part 12, using lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation. Offerors must comply with FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices, provide National Drug Codes and manufacturing facility locations, comply with bar code labeling standards, and submit quarterly sales reports. Large business offerors must submit subcontracting plans. FAR 52.222-90 (addressing racially discriminatory DEI activities) applies.
