About this opportunity

The procurement seeks to replace existing security infrastructure across multiple VA campuses and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics with advanced security technology, including analytic cameras, network video recorders, and access control systems. Vendors must be authorized Avigilon distributors and partners, demonstrating expertise in implementing artificial intelligence-enabled video surveillance and system interoperability solutions. The government will use this market research to determine the most appropriate procurement method and evaluate potential contractors' capabilities to support the project requirements. Interested parties must submit their responses by June 9, 2025, at 10am Central Time, with the goal of enhancing security infrastructure through a technologically advanced solution.
The solicitation indicates the contract may be set aside for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, or veteran-owned small businesses, providing opportunities for qualified smaller enterprises. The project scope includes installing 34 new cameras (a mix of indoor and outdoor models), 4 FIPS Series servers, 2 AI Appliances, and 64 Intelligent Controllers across locations in Lexington, Berea, Morehead, Hazard, and Somerset, Kentucky. The contract will be firm-fixed-price with a performance period of 180 calendar days or less, suggesting a relatively compact timeline for complete system implementation.
