About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for automatic electronic blood pressure monitors for home use with Bluetooth capability, with an industry day scheduled for June 9–11, 2026, at the Denver Logistics Center; vendors must submit responses to the questionnaire and RSVP by May 28, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. MDT. Mandatory attendance on June 9 at 8:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time is required. This is market research only; no contract will be awarded from these meetings, and any formal competitive solicitation will be synopsized on sam.gov.
Blood pressure monitors must be FDA 510(k) cleared, clinically validated per ISO 81060-2 standards, and feature automatic upper-arm inflation/deflation with Bluetooth capability compatible with both iOS and Android. Required specifications include LCD/LED displays with integrated backlight, memory storage of at least 60 readings with date/time stamps, battery and AC power operation, pressure rating indicators aligned with 2025 American Heart Association recommendations, irregular heartbeat detection, and latex-free cuffs in 16–44 cm circumference range. Devices must pair and sync reliably with the VA's Share My Health Data app with at least 95% successful data-transfer rates, include instruction manuals in English and Spanish, provide replacement cuffs as separate line items, and carry one-year minimum warranty.
Each company receives one hour for an individual presentation. The VA requests teams include clinical/research, business development, IT specialists, and operations personnel with federal government experience. Vendors must provide business size classification, manufacturer or dealer/distributor status, DUNS number, SAM registration, product specifications, lead times, and supply chain risk disclosures. Responses address supply chain resilience for nationwide implementation exceeding one million concurrent users, FDA and ISO certifications, commercial pricing and warranty terms, FedRAMP and NIST FIPS compliance, HIPAA data handling, Section 508 accessibility, and ANSI X.12 EDI capabilities. Submit responses to Brad Geghan (Bradley.geghan@va.gov) and Bryan Crist (bryan.crist@va.gov), or VACSASTEAMA@va.gov with subject line "RFI # Blood Pressure Monitors - Bluetooth Enabled (BPMBTE)."
