About this opportunity
The United States Secret Service (USSS) is conducting market research to identify auto body repair shops capable of providing vehicle maintenance, repair, and body service near its 109 field offices across 48 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. The agency is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10 to understand industry best practices and technical specifications for potential vehicle repair services. Interested vendors must submit a capabilities statement by March 28, 2025, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time via email to Devanee.Taylor@usss.dhs.gov. The submission must include company details such as SAM.gov registration status, contact information, facility location relative to USSS field offices, and relevant capabilities or certifications. The government emphasizes that this RFI is for information gathering only and does not constitute a commitment to award a contract.
The procurement does not have a specific set-aside designation and falls under the NAICS category 811111 for General Automotive Repair. The anticipated contract is expected to be firm fixed-price, with the contractor responsible for providing parts, materials, and labor for vehicle repairs consistent with original vehicle design. While specific award values are not disclosed, the scope encompasses comprehensive repair services for USSS vehicle fleets across multiple geographic locations. The RFI suggests a potential nationwide contract that would require vendors to have repair capabilities near multiple field offices. The government will use the submitted information to assess market capabilities and determine the feasibility of a comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repair contract that can meet the Secret Service's operational requirements.
