About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is conducting market research for the procurement of auditorium seating at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. This sources sought announcement seeks to identify potential suppliers capable of providing and installing 305 new seats across three rooms in building 7310, with specific requirements including blue, fully upholstered removable seats with shared arms and fold-away writing tablets. Interested parties must submit their responses by 1:00 PM CDT on April 4, 2025, via email to two specified Air Force contacts. Respondents are required to provide company details including CAGE code, company size status, and ownership information, along with product literature and a written statement confirming compliance with the government's specifications. The submission must clearly outline any exceptions to the stated criteria, and participants should understand that this is a market research effort, not a formal solicitation.

The opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, targeting the Institutional Furniture Manufacturing sector (NAICS 337127). The seating project involves 60 seats on the main floor, 175 seats on the second floor (room 220), and 70 seats on another second-floor room (room 222), with each seat designed to support up to 250 lbs. Installation work must be completed between 7:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. CST, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays and AETC down days. The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive site preparation, including protecting doors, doorways, flooring, and corridor walls, as well as removing existing seating and ensuring a clean, ready-for-occupancy environment. No staging area will be provided, so the contractor must manage product storage and protection until final customer acceptance. While no specific award value is mentioned, the project involves detailed logistics and specific performance requirements for the selected vendor.
