About this opportunity

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has published a Pre-Solicitation Notice for one-year maintenance service contracts for an Attune NXT flow cytometer and Cytotek plate reader. NIAID intends to negotiate this contract on an other than full and open competition basis with Life Technologies, which it has determined to be the only responsible source that can meet the agency's requirements.

The purpose of this Notice is to invite capability statements from any responsible sources that could provide comparable services by November 29, 2024. The service contract requirements include preventative maintenance, parts, labor, travel, priority response time, technical support, and remote monitoring. NIAID has cited the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) for pursuing this sole source contract. While responses to the Notice will be considered, they are not considered adequate responses to a solicitation, and the government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information provided for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
