About this opportunity
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking to procure an upgrade to its Oxford/Asylum microscope through a Cypher S to Cypher VRS Upgrade package from Asylum Research, an Oxford Instruments Company. The upgrade includes a VRS1250 Sample Stage and high-speed AFM probes, which will allow the NCI laboratory to visualize and analyze nucleosome/DNA/chromatin changes at near real time for its research on receptor biology and gene expression during oncogenesis. The response close date for this pre-solicitation notice is August 15, 2024. While this is a sole source procurement, the government is open to considering capability statements, proposals, or quotes from other interested parties, especially small businesses, to determine if they can meet the government's needs. The award will be made under the commercial item acquisition procedures of FAR Part 12.
