About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 intended to sole source four Atlas 500 Corneal Topographers with accessories, installation, and training to PROAIM Americas, LLC, with responses due July 23 at 11:00 AM Pacific Time, but Amendment 0001 effective July 23 cancels the solicitation.
The procurement was designated sole source under FAR 12.102, citing unavailability of alternative sources. Zeiss has authorized PROAIM as its sole distributor to the Government. Place of performance spans four VA Northern California Health Care System locations: Mather, Chico VA Clinic, Redding Outpatient Clinic, and McClellan Outpatient Clinic in Sacramento. Each system included the Atlas 500 device, ZEISS PC Workstation with pre-installed operator software, Instrument Table IT 1060.I with monitor bracket and sliding keyboard tray, and FORUM-DICOM interface license. Services encompassed installation, training, one-year manufacturer warranty, delivery, and digital manuals, with FOB Destination delivery within 2–4 weeks after receipt of order and installation required within business hours (8:30 AM–4:30 PM Monday–Friday) on 120 hours' advance notice. The NAICS code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, with a 1,000-employee size standard. The PSC is 6640, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. The Government reserved the right to resolicit the requirement at a later date.
