About this opportunity
The Department of Justice Justice Management Division issued a sole source justification notice for the procurement of AssetTrack software license maintenance and support from Asset Management International (AMI). The DOJ requires this software to manage its property inventory system, including capitalized property, laptops, tablets, and firearms, in compliance with the Chief Financial Officers' Act which mandates annual accounting and biennial wall-to-wall inventory. The sole source justification is based on AMI being the original developer of AssetTrack software that directly interfaces with DOJ's existing property management system and Asset Portfolio Management (APM), making it impractical to switch vendors without requiring new training, process amendments, and potentially compromising historical reporting comparability. Contract 15JPSS25P00000317 was awarded to an unknown vendor on September 18, 2025, for an estimated value of $26,779.00 covering yearly maintenance, support, and licensing services for the performance period from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026. The procurement is structured as a firm fixed-price acquisition and has been classified as a commercial item under FAR Part 12.
