About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force has published a Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice for the procurement of 12 Deployed Logix (DLX) ASAP-18 Rapid Shelters. The Air Force requires these specialized shelters, which can be rapidly erected by two personnel within 60 seconds, to support contingency operations at Los Angeles Air Force Base. The Air Force justifies the sole source procurement of the DLX shelters due to their unique patented capabilities that meet the government's needs and cannot be satisfied by other similar products. The related contract, Solicitation Number FA281624P0006, was awarded to an unknown vendor on July 30, 2024, for a total value of $191,664.80.
Notice text
This acquisition is supported through unique characteristics to include pre-existing purchases from other
branches of service, e.g. Unit States Marine Corps. The use of only one source available in the acquisition is
essential to the Government's requirements and reputation. The Deployed Logix (DLX), ASAP-18 Rapid Shelters
are designed to allow emergency responders to focus on the mission at hand verses when valuable response was
used to set up operations verses operating. Current tents at Los Angeles Air Force Base are Temper Tents,
decades old, are broken down, worn out and take a team of 8 personnel to set-up in about 45 minutes. DLXs
ASAP-18 Rapid Shelters are able to erect with only 2 personnel within 60 seconds.
