About this opportunity
The Army Geospatial Center (AGC) has issued a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) soliciting white papers and proposals for research and development in geospatial technologies under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 35.016. The BAA seeks submissions for advanced research across multiple topic areas including enterprise geospatial operations, standards, applications, data modeling, testing, and emerging technologies. Proposals will be evaluated based on scientific/technical merit, potential contributions to the AGC mission, offeror capabilities, and cost realism. The solicitation is open for a full year from September 5, 2024, to September 5, 2025, with a two-step submission process requiring initial white papers (maximum 5 pages) followed by potential full proposals upon government request. Preferred contract types are firm-fixed-price or cost-reimbursement, with multiple awards anticipated.
The BAA does not have specific set-aside designations but encourages participation from small businesses, women-owned small businesses, HUBZone firms, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions. The place of performance is located in Alexandria, VA 22315, with research focusing on areas such as systems integration, imagery exploitation, artificial intelligence, climate change impacts, and great power competition. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, funding will depend on proposal quality and available Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) funds. The solicitation covers 27 specific research topic areas (AGC-01 through AGC-27), spanning critical geospatial technology domains. Potential contractors can expect contracts that support advanced component development, prototypes, and research aimed at advancing geospatial capabilities for the U.S. Army.
