About this opportunity

The Department of the Army's Materiel Command TACOM Life Cycle Management Command is conducting a Market Survey and Request for Information (RFI) to assess the domestic U.S. industry's interest and manufacturing capabilities to produce the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV), supplemental kits, and provide logistics support. The AMPV is a tracked vehicle intended to replace the Army's Armored Personnel Carrier (M113) Family of Vehicles within the Armored Brigade Combat Team. The RFI requests information from interested contractors on their experience and capabilities related to producing heavy ground combat vehicles, welding military materials, integrating government-furnished communication systems, working from Technical Data Packages, production facilities and timelines, supply chain management, quality assurance processes, and logistics support. Responses are due by May 3, 2024, but this is not a solicitation, and the government is not obligated to procure any products or services described.

This procurement does not have a set-aside designation. No potential incumbents or current contractors are named. The RFI does not provide any information on possible award values or budget ranges, or the quantity of AMPV vehicles to be procured. The timeline for the AMPV vehicle production and logistics support services is not specified.
