About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security's Office of Procurement Operations (DHS/OPO) is proposing to extend the ordering period for Contract 70RFP420DE7000002 with American Eagle Protective Service (AEPS) for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services covering federal facilities in Fort Worth, Texas. The extension will run from April 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025, and is being processed as a sole source procurement under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), specifically invoking FAR 6.302-1 which allows for procurement from only one responsible source that can satisfy agency requirements. The contract falls under the Security Guards and Patrol Services NAICS category (561612) and the Housekeeping-Guard PSC category. While specific award amounts were not disclosed, the justification indicates that AEPS is the sole vendor capable of providing the required security services for this period. This limited/sole source justification enables the DHS to continue critical protective services for federal facilities in the Fort Worth area without conducting a full competitive procurement process.
